• Measure larger furniture to determine what will fit best & refer back to your staging checklist for what items may need to stay behind.

Packing & Organization...  

Proper Packing: Ensure heavy items are on the bottom and lighter items are on top. Use straps to secure large items like furniture.

Climate Sensitivity: If items are sensitive to temperature or humidity (like electronics, artwork, or wooden furniture), check if climate-controlled storage options are available.

Accessibility During Storage: Pack the container in a way that allows you to access items you might need during the storage period. Label boxes clearly & on multiple sides. (Check with the company to see if you can have access while it’s stored)

Moving Considerations

Relocation: If you’re planning to move to a new home, confirm if the pod company can deliver to your new location, particularly if it’s far from the original pick-up point.

Time Flexibility: Plan how long you'll need the container. Confirm if the company offers flexibility if your moving or renovation timelines change.

Total Costs: Understand all the potential costs—initial delivery, monthly storage, relocation (if applicable), and final retrieval. Hidden fees can add up, so confirm the pricing structure upfront.

Insurance Add-Ons: Depending on what you're storing, you may need to add extra insurance, which could be an additional cost.
