Similar to the reasons that Buyers are less likely to be out house hunting, Sellers are listing because they need to sell.
If you’re planning on Selling, you’ll wait for that peak Spring market — unless there’s a need to move sooner than later.

Come February, the Spring market begins to take off and with it, the competition amps up. If you have a home to sell & buy in January with a long closing, you can often maximize your selling price ( by leveraging the Spring Market) while buying a winter deal!
